Three Heavenly Postres You Need to Have Before You Die

Recetas

Hispanic culture has given the world such delicious dishes as ceviche, arroz con pollo, tamales, and more, but what most people never realize is that it’s also got recipes to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Here are just a few of the postres you have to try before you die, or else you will have never really lived.

Mango Pudding.

Heavy, rich postres are great and all, but a nice cup of fruity pudding every once and a while is absolutely heaven. All you need is one can of sliced mangos, one can of condensed milk, and a tablespoon of rum. Blend the mangos up with the condensed milk, and the rum. You should also add the syrup from the can to make the postres even better. Then, let it cool in the refrigerator for a bit, and there you have it.
Mexican Chocolate Cake.

Although you can definitely call this a chocolate cake, it’s nothing like what Betty Crocker makes. All you need are two cups of crushed graham crackers, a cup of finely chopped pecans, half a cup of melted butter, two cups of milk, a package of chocolate pudding, some Mexican chocolate, and eight ounces of cream cheese.

Mix the graham crackers and the nuts together, setting one cup of the mixture aside. Then, add your melted butter to it, and press it into a nine inch pie pan. Over low heat, heat the chocolate and milk together, adding the pudding to it when it’s warm. Once the pudding is thickened, add in the cream cheese, and stir it until it’s melted. Pour the mixture into the pie pan, and let it cool. Refrigerate it for several hours, and it’ll be ready.

Apple and Cheese Quesadilla.

The perfect balance of sweet and savory, these postres are an excellent snack to make anytime. All you need are some tortillas, apples, and cheddar. Lay a tortilla out flat. Slice an apple up, and put it in half of the tortilla. Then, later it with a quarter cup’s worth of cheese (or more) and microwave it for about 20 seconds.

These are just a few of the amazing postres Hispanic culture has given us. If you know of any other postres, feel free to share the recetas in the comments!
